It's Hereditary......

......When it's time to eat, IT'S TIME TO EAT!! The obsessive food gene has started at an early age. My 16 month old niece Summer Elizabeth helps herself in my parents refrigerator. Grandad would have been proud!! He loved food and loved to eat more than anyone I've known!

Thanksgiving 2006

and

Amanda's 40th Birthday

Roxy & I had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving Day with Amanda, Rene and Ella. Amanda cooked a delicious meal consisting of turkey, cornbread dressing, broccoli rice casserole, sweet potatoes and rolls. That was the first time I had ever eaten sweet potatoes and they were really good. My family eats mashed potatoes (for every occasion, not just T'giving).

For many reasons, Amanda is FABULOUS at 40! All my friends who have reached that milestone look and feel great! They are all successful and so diversified in their own ways. I hope I can live up to that this time next year. I can't wait!

My Thanksgiving Project

I finally decorated my home office. The theme is TRAVEL.

The project began Tuesday night after work. I started by moving everything out of the room including disconnecting the computer. Next I painted (using only Kelly Moore paints - the best). The walls are Walnut Cream and the ceiling is Ashbury. Once that dried, I hung a valance and a sheer window panel. I then hung a picture of an old style world map along with pictures from my favorite cities. I plan to pick some of my favorite pictures I've taken from around the country and the world and frame them. When I moved things back into the room, I only brought things back in that I want - no junk!

Much to my surprise I was able to get the computer hooked up and running again. I have NEVER seen so many cords in my life! It's ridiculous and so cluttered. Someone please comment if they know of a 1-cord computer set up.

The room isn't 100% complete but I decided to post these pictures since they resemble my visions of the finished product.

"Awesome 80s Prom"

Going to my high school reunion last weekend reminded me of what we did for Paula's 40th Birthday last year. We went to the "Awesome 80s Prom" in New York City. It's an interactive production set in a dance hall with everything 80s - music, clothes, jargon, decorations, etc. The audience members are participants of the prom. We danced with the cast members and got involved in the typical high school drama involved with such an event. It's intended to be somewhat cheesy but that's what makes it so funny! Paula, Kellie & I had a blast!! This production is much like "Tony & Tina's Wedding" (which Paula & I attended no fewer than 3 times!!). http://www.awesome80sprom.com/
