Happy Summer!
So far so good. I have been able to withstand the heat only because it keeps raining. As of tonight, DFW has had almost 9 inches of rain for the month of June making it the 3rd wettest June in recorded history (since the late 1800s). If I didn't know better, I'd think I was still living in the Houston area.

Happy 2nd Birthday Summer!

Summer turned 2 on May 6th. The entire family went to San Antonio to celebrate her birthday and Granny's 95th birthday (separate blog entry).

I now have a dog and 2 ducks.



















A male & female Mallard have taken up residence in my swimming pool. Roxy runs from one side of the pool to the other trying to catch them. The ducks gracefully swim to the other side to get away. Roxy barks then the ducks quack. As I'm outside watering the flowers, I'll hear "bark, quack, bark quack". Finally the ducks fly away when they get tired of the Roxy game but they always come back.
